My second wedding Easter weekend is finally finished. Too many bank holidays, never thought I'd say that!

Lee and Alison had a wonderful day at Eaves Hall, and even brought their doggie Oscar to share it with them. Plus another guest brought his two labbies. Beautiful and especially good for me as I love my pooches.

The Royal Wedding was a great day for me, being a romantic, and seeing real romance in the royal family for the first time was really refreshing. My Auntie Dorothy invited me and Mum and my god mother and cousins over to share the day. Had to share some of the images of the fab food and my family.

This Easter weekend was really busy for me. My first Wedding was on Thursday. Richard and Dawn are friends, Richard is like family to me and Dawn is so lovely. Perfect couple. Emotional day for all. Let me say first that I'm proud to be northern and play on the regional accent thing, but I can't help thinking what I saw in saturday at my wedding would only happen "up north". He was called "Swartz" and was the co-driver for A1 wedding cars. I love my pooches, so had to share a few piccies with you. Just finished editing some wonderful flower images from my friend Kathryn at The Florist in Barrowford. We spent the morning and part of the afternoon catching up and shooting. Fab flowers and I'm really pleased with the results using my new lighting kit in the studio and some natural light outside.

Never let it be said my job is dull, far from it! I went to shoot a band being shot for a video on saturday night. My photographic friend Pav is in a band called "Neverdigm fall" and he asked me to shoot the shoot as it were. Not my kind of music to be honest but by the end of the shoot I was foot tapping!

Our lads from the Duke of Lancaster Regiment marched through Clitheroe today. They have been given the freedom of the Ribble Valley. I was there and it brought a tear to my eye seeing all our brave men parading through the town. There was a massive turn out. Made me proud to be British! We remembered the nine lost and many others who were wounded in Afganistan.

My lovely shiney and new studio has suffered over the cold spell. Three burst pipes in the walls between Christmas and New Year and now the pipes are fixed and the walls are re-plastered and the carpet is drying out, I have to do a spring-clean! Well it's been a really busy few weeks since my last blog entry and with this weather we've been having, I've struggled to complete the edit on Sarah and Dan's wedding from November. Well I can't believe it's nearly december! My Autumn went in the blink of an eye and now it's winter! I've been so busy, but I managed to squeeze in a charity calendar for The Duke of Lancaster Regiment.

It was organised by Mandy Paul who sadly lost her nephew Jordan in Afganistan this August and the Calendar was to raise money for the injured of the Duke of Lancaster regiment. A really good cause and one which I really enjoyed doing. Calendar Girls style but with a glamourous edge. Wow, what an honour! I was today invited to photograph a potential future star by the magazine I freelance for [ Live Ribble Valley ]

At the weekend, Holly Steel wowed the judges on Britains Got Talent and today was her first day back at School. Oakhill College made her very welcome and laid on a welcoming party for her. All the Students waited outside for her arrival with Granada Reports. They shouted and cheered her arrival back to school. It was lovely to see that new-found fame hadn't changed her.

Spring in Spring Wood!

Well, would you believe it? Spring has actually arrived and I made the most of it at lunchtime and walked the dogs up Spring Wood just outside Whalley. The bluebells had arrived in force. What a spectacle!

And the pooches loved it too!

All these images are for a new book I'm working on to promote the colour and light to be found throughout the seasons in the Ribble Valley. Only another 10 months work to go!

What a week!

I've been shooting for Live Ribble Valley all week and have had a great time. Very varied work but all fun. Just thought I'd show you an image from the Art Decor shoot and the Doggie Daycare shoot. Both with Dog's. One dog was the gallery owners and one was mine, bless! Archie is a very handsome boy!
